Common Sense Media Education - Classroom Resources
Based on the work of Howard Gardner and the GoodPlay Project at Harvard, the curriculum uses case studies to emphasize critical thinking and decision making. Lessons are divided into three major topical strands: 1. Safety and Security, 2. Digital Citizenship and 3. Research and Information Literacy. It's FREE, but you must register as an educator to access the units.

Unfortunately, this FREE guide for parents from the FTC is now only available online. However, if you're planning a presentation about kids' online safety, order a Net Cetera Community Outreach Toolkit, which includes a copy of Net Cetera and Heads Up, along with videos and other materials. In addition, you can still bulk order copies of Living Life Online, a magazine-style booklet for teens, or Heads Up, a guide for tweens. Printed booklets can be ordered in bulk for FREE here.

OnGuardOnline.gov's Net Cetera campaign from the Federal Trade Commission provides information and resources about helping kids make safe, responsible decisions when they're online. The campaign includes FREE parent handbooks, student handbooks and a presentation to use at a parent night.
